Help your pet enjoy the sunshine and parties safely. Learn how to keep them from overheating.
Ah summer…bar-b-q’s, swimming, and tropical beverages with umbrellas. But it’s not always so carefree for your pets. Make them cool and comfortable by keeping them indoors with air conditioning if possible. If they must be outdoors for part of the day, be sure they have plenty of shade, a soft, cool place to rest, and lots of water. Remember, when walking them, if the pavement is too hot for you, it’s too hot for their paws. Walk them in the early morning or evening when things cool down a bit, or on a grassy or sandy area. A nice dip in the ocean on or lake might just be the treat they have been waiting for. Enjoy!
