Welcome! Our New Veterinary Emergency Hospital in DeLand is Finally Open

Here at AEHV, your pets are our priority. The furry family members who brighten your lives deserve the possible best care, which is why our team of experienced emergency veterinarians and professional support team devote their lives to giving them just that.

But for a while, we’ve been hearing, both from you and from our colleagues, the primary care veterinarians in our region whose patients we help treat, that more emergency resources were needed, especially in areas west of our location in Ormond Beach.

That’s why last summer, we broke ground on our new sister facility located at 2100 E. New York Avenue in DeLand, FL (at Kepler Avenue). And after many months of construction and anticipation, we are excited to announce that Animal Emergency Hospital DeLand is officially open!

What You Can Expect

AEHD is an ultra-modern, 7,500 sq.-ft. facility that will provide care and treatment for a variety of species. Like our hospital in Ormond Beach, we will treat primarily dogs and cats, but we also will be able to see birds, exotic pets like rabbits, rodents, reptiles, and small farm animals like goats on a case-by-case basis. We ask that you please always call first to ensure we can accommodate your pet’s problem.

Initially, we will be open for curbside emergency service nights, weekends, and on major holidays, and we will eventually move to 24/7 as our team grows. Services will include:

  • Emergency and critical care, including surger
  • Advanced diagnostics including digital X-ray, ultrasound, computed tomography (CT), fluoroscopy, and digital cytology
  • Onsite intensive care unit (ICU) for constant monitoring of hospitalized pets
  • Onsite laboratory for fast results and well stocked pharmacy for immediate dispensing

As with our Volusia location, no appointment is necessary, but please call ahead so we may prepare for your arrival. If you need assistance transporting your pet from your vehicle into the hospital, just let us know and we’ll be happy to help.
